Belonging: Remember the Titans and Technique Example Link Essay

P3 Similarly, the poem Feliks Skrzynecki illustrates feelings of not belonging as a result of disconnections to surround environments, societies, relationship and the growing detachment between them . Technique |Example |Link Back | |The opening |â€Å"My Gentle Father† |instantly conveys a sense of ownership and pride and an overall positive relationship. | |This is further highlighted in |â€Å"I remember the words he taught me â€Å" |as a memory of appreciation for his father. Although this positive side of their relationship is illustrated , barriers are apparent due to their intergenerational detachment . |The use of exclusive pronouns such as |â€Å"they reminisced† |highlights the inability for the persona to relate to or access his fathers world. | |Skrzynecki symbolises his garden through the simile |â€Å"loved his garden like an only child â€Å" |for the responder , this adds to the notion of displacement , as skrzynecki is growing further and further a way from his father and his roots in poland and closer to environments as opposed to people . | | Therefore through belonging to environments , Skrzynecki is disconnected from society . Technique |Example |Link Back | |Yakin used a close up to highlight what the coach is wanting his team to reach . Coach Boone states.. |â€Å"This is no democracy ,this is a dictatorship , i am the law â€Å" |here the responder identifies the close up to emphasise Coach Boones’s emotions as he pushed for belonging through equality. | |Yakin employs music to add to the influence of racism. |The sound of Military drums beating at the start of the film |shows when conflict is going to occur . | |the director provides voice over narration to provide detail. Sheryl states |â€Å"In Virginia , high school football was a way of life , there was no race mixing , until the school was inter-grated , calling it T. C Williams high school â€Å" |this helps by informing the audience what is happening in 1971. | |applies juxtaposition to contrasts the positioning which is |visible within the warmth of the Boones and the ugliness of the neighbours comments . |highlights how wide spread racism became . | | it is therefore understood that Yakin’s Remember the Titans is evident in showing the contribution of belonging and not belonging through the focus of society and reality. P4 Not only does one see a focus on society and reality within Remember the titans , but the importance of Family as a function for belonging and not belonging . Technique |Example |Link Back | |provides a long screen shot to emphasise the connection of belonging. Gerry and Julius states.. |â€Å"Left side , strong side â€Å" |This depicts the relationship these two men have formed. | |used a wide -long shot in order to highlight setting. Gerry states to the nurse |â€Å"Alice can’t you see the family resemblance , he’s my brother â€Å" |therefore the audience shows the influence that Gerry see’s Julius as someone he can trust and belong to .

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Geothermal Energy

GEO-THERMAL POWER PLANT SUBMITTED FOR Energy Studies INTRODUCTION In the present scenario , ENERGY has become the most important part of our daily life requirements . It is used so extensively in our day to day life that we , at many times , do not even realise that it is being used. Thus, for all our works , energy is required in large quantities . But the big question which arises is , from where to get the energy. There are several sources and a wide variety of methods to fulfill our demands by producing energy . Being humans one of our basic requirements is electricity. There are a lot of ways to produce electricity. One such method is ‘GEO THERMAL POWER PLANT’ .Geo Thermal Power Plant gives major contribution to fulfill energy demands.†¦show more content†¦The steam created then needs to be separated from brine which is usually done in central separation chamber. After this separation process , the whole steam is transferred to heat exchangers which are located inside the power plant. After the steam is transferred to heat exchangers , it is possible to transfer it even further to the steam turbines where electricity can be generated from it, and at the same time unused energy is released through the exhaust pipes. In heat exchangers steam is being cooled in under pressure in the condensate and then heat is transferred into the cold water in the condensate heat exchangers. This cold water that we gain on it’s way is pumped from wells to storage tanks from which it is transferred to heat exchangers where the temperature of gets increased and is then passed through deaerators where it boils and where released oxygen and other gases which may cause corrosion (when heated) are removed by final water cooling. Keeping it simple , it all comes in the process of heating of water and it is transferred to steam which can then be used to drive a turbo-generator which generates electricity or this steam is passed through heat exchangers and heats water creating sufficient heat for central heating of households andShow MoreRelatedDuring the 21st century our country and our planet as a whole is in energy crisis. We have used too1200 Words   |  5 Pagesplanet as a whole is in energy crisis. We have used too many oils and fossil fuel that our non-renewable resources are running out. Oil is limited and is at outrageous prices, this result is making our economy suffering. With fossil fuel and oil as the main source of energy the people of this planet need to start looking for an alternative energy source because our fossil fuel will not last forever and fossil fuel also polluted our planet. This is where a renewable energy comes in. I will start talkingRead MoreEarths Natural Energy Sources Essay14 70 Words   |  6 PagesINTRODUCTION Renewable energy is energy produced from natural resources such as, wind, sunlight, rain, tides and geothermal heat which can be re-used or replenished. Natural energies (renewable energies) have its advantages and disadvantages. The reliance on fossil fuel is reduced by the sources of renewable energy. Though the use of natural sources has many advantages over the use of fossil fuels, the cost of investment for it can be too high for some people. In this project, I will be highlightingRead MoreSources Of Alternative Energy Sources926 Words   |  4 PagesAlternate Energy Sources Alternative energy sources are becoming more and more popular. The most important alternative energy sources are solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, ocean, and hydropower energies. Their main advantage lies in the resumption of energy resources. This paper will give information about each of sources as well as their advantages and disadvantages. Solar energy The Sun is a leading environmentally clean energy source. The process of generating electricity from sunlight has beenRead MoreFossil Fuels Advantages And Disadvantages1399 Words   |  6 Pageshas been one energy source that has dominated the world for a long time, fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are an energy source that includes coal, natural gas, and oil. Fossil fuels have been used for a long time because of their energy output. The downside is that is very harmful to the environment, so that is why we have renewable sources that are eco-friendly. Renewable energies still have not won the favor of the crowd because fossil fuel use is still much higher than renewable energy. The topics thatRead MoreAlternative Sources of Energy: Geothermal Essay1185 Words   |  5 PagesGeothermal Energy Introduction The useful and super eco-friendly, and environmentally safe (for the most part), form of energy that is called Geothermal Energy has been used for thousands of years. The definition for Geothermal is â€Å"earth heat† so it is literally the heat naturally created by the earth that humans and other species have discovered to use to their advantage. The earliest known uses are located in china and are based since the 3rd century B.C. although at that time the energy wasRead MoreFossil Fuels vs Energy Alternatives730 Words   |  3 PagesHow can energy be converted from one form to another?
